ABOUT OUR FAMILY

Long version

I’m Yolanda Moreira Farr, but before marrying Daniel Farr, I used to be Yolanda Moreira da Silva. I was born and raised in the middle of nowhere in Brazil. I was anything but ordinary growing up; too bad I never knew that at the time. I come from a very poor family, and expressions of love and support were never a thing in the culture around me. Well, I am not going to get too deep because this is just an “About Us” page for my business. Suffice it to say that being where I am and who I am today is literally a miracle, something that cannot be explained unless you believe in a loving and powerful Father who watches over us all. My life is a miracle, and now that I think of it, I think I should definitely write a biography (silly face). Most About Us pages are professional and indirect, but I am not most people, and this is my very own About Us page.

Short Version

I’m Yolanda Moreira Farr. I was born and raised in the middle of nowhere in Brazil, and I come from a very poor family. Being where I am and who I am today is literally a miracle—one that, to me, cannot be explained without believing in a loving and powerful Father who watches over us all.

I met Daniel in February 2011, and we got married in August of the same year. Yes, when you know, you know. We are very different from each other, but somehow we make a pretty great team. We always wanted an eternal best friend and some eternal troublemakers to motivate us along the way. We got 3: Kate, Joseph, and Hyrum. They are completely different from one another, slightly crazy in their own individual ways, and absolutely our whole lives.

ABOUT OUR BUSINESS

In 2017, Daniel got a freelance job on top of his full-time job. The client needed us to have an official business to be able to invoice him for Daniel’s services. The Code Frame was then born. I was about to have a baby, so I just let Daniel do his thing, which he is very good at. In 2018, we had a good friend from Brazil come to stay with us, and I started getting some breaks, so I started taking all the online courses I could find about SEO and digital marketing. I wanted to start offering SEO and digital marketing in addition to web development. I did about 50 courses. I remember studying on my phone while putting the kids down for naps, while watching them play, etc.

We got some good clients along the way, but I always limited the number of projects we accepted because my main job was always being a full-time mom. I had another business in between, a discount store called Southern Utah Bargain Bin. Many of you might have been there. It was such a good time in my life. I had amazing friends working with me. My dear friend Jamie made the whole thing work because she was the one working there. That was our deal: I did the behind-the-scenes work from home with my children, and she was there making things happen. Besides having 3 children, I was also in college during the 2 years I had the store. Unfortunately, I had to close it too. Jamie had other priorities, just like me, and closing the store was the right thing to do. It broke my heart, but my children always come first. The Code Frame survived all my priorities, and I think this is mainly because I do everything from home. I can be a full-time mom and run The Code Frame with no conflicts. Daniel and I love this small business of ours because it allows both of us to work and be completely present at the same time.

We have been working with web development, SEO, digital marketing, and social media management for 9 years, and we love it. We are not about money, money, money. Of course, we need the money, but money is not what drives us here.

We choose our projects carefully. We want projects that are fun to work on and that we know we can deliver in a way the client won’t forget. We are a very simple and chill family, so we also want no drama or chaos. That definitely weighs in when we are deciding whether to take on a project or not. We only work with local businesses because we want to meet them in person. We want to understand their business, their goals, and even their dreams. We want to add something meaningful and helpful to your business.

ABOUT OUR MISSION

Our mission is to meet your business where it is today and help take it where it needs to be, so it can compete, grow, and stay in the market for years to come.

Without further ado, I met Daniel for the first time in February 2011, and we got married in August 2011. Yes, when you know, you know. I knew he was the one, and no, he was not and is not perfect. Neither am I, so… we are a match. Actually, we are very different from each other, but we both always wanted one thing: an eternal best friend and some eternal troublemakers to motivate us along the way. We got 3, and they are our whole lives.

Kate, our 14-year-old who thinks she is 18, is the smartest girl you will ever meet. No, this is not from a parent’s point of view; ask any of her teachers since preschool. The girl is a phenomenon. She is in 8th grade but goes to 9th grade for math classes (yes, you read that right, MATH). She reads A LOT OF books, she plays the violin, upright bass, and electric bass, she is in musical theater, she is in choir, dance choir, MDT, and more (I would need a whole page just for her if I were to mention everything that she excels at).

Joseph, our 12-year-old, is the most creative kid I have ever seen. He loves creating games. He draws the characters, names, rules, abilities, and so many things that it blows my mind. The boy has a lot in his brain, and we spend hours listening to him show us everything he creates.

After 2 children, one might think a third child would be easy because you did it twice, right? Well, wrong. Hyrum, our 9-year-old boy, is the definition of how we are all unique. He is totally different from Kate and Joseph. He didn’t speak until he was 5, and I knew he could if he wanted to. He just observed things around him. When he finally started speaking, he knew what he was saying—no baby talk or nonsense words. He is the sweetest boy you will ever meet. He has sympathy for others. He looks at me and says, “Mom, you are so beautiful” (I am not ugly, but SO BEAUTIFUL is a stretch). He kisses me and says, “Mom, I love you very much, but I know you love me more because I am your son.”

There are not enough pages for me to tell you all about my 3 precious treasures—the good and the bad too (laughing face). They are no saints, believe me.

Daniel and I married in Brazil and lived there for 4 years. I had my own business there, and we knew living there was the right thing at the time. In 2015, we felt it was time for us to move here. Daniel’s parents used to live here, so we moved here with 2 children, one suitcase, and 1,000 dollars (all the money we got from selling our things). Daniel immediately got a job as a web developer, and we started our life here.

I started and closed 3 different businesses before The Code Frame. I was born to be a business owner, but my heart was always in being a mother, so I closed them all. In 2021, I decided to get a bachelor’s degree because I never had the time or money to get one. I think education is very important, and I wanted to be an example to my children. I just graduated (August 2026). It wasn’t easy, but it was amazing. I had to stop getting new clients during the 5 years of college and basically freeze The Code Frame for a little while.

Now I am done with school, my children are all in school, and I AM BACK in action (hence the extremely long About Us page).

Daniel and I married in Brazil and lived there for 4 years. In 2015, we moved to the United States with 2 children, one suitcase, and $1,000—all the money we had from selling our things. Daniel immediately started working as a web developer, and we began building our life here.

I have always been an entrepreneur at heart. I started and closed 3 businesses before The Code Frame because, as much as I love business, being a mother has always come first.

In 2021, I decided it was finally time to get my bachelor’s degree. I wanted an education, but more importantly, I wanted my children to see that it is never too late to accomplish something important to you. Five years later, in August 2026, I graduated!

During those years, I basically put The Code Frame on pause and stopped taking new clients so I could focus on my family, school, and the clients I already had.

But now the kids are all in school, college is DONE, and I AM BACK.

And apparently, after 5 years of homework, I have a lot to say. Hence this About Us page. 😂
