I’m Yolanda Moreira Farr, but before marrying Daniel Farr, I used to be Yolanda Moreira da Silva. I was born and raised in the middle of nowhere in Brazil. I was anything but ordinary growing up; too bad I never knew that at the time. I come from a very poor family, and expressions of love and support were never a thing in the culture around me. Well, I am not going to get too deep because this is just an “About Us” page for my business. Suffice it to say that being where I am and who I am today is literally a miracle, something that cannot be explained unless you believe in a loving and powerful Father who watches over us all. My life is a miracle, and now that I think of it, I think I should definitely write a biography (silly face). Most About Us pages are professional and indirect, but I am not most people, and this is my very own About Us page.
Without further ado, I met Daniel for the first time in February 2011, and we got married in August 2011. Yes, when you know, you know. I knew he was the one, and no, he was not and is not perfect. Neither am I, so… we are a match. Actually, we are very different from each other, but we both always wanted one thing: an eternal best friend and some eternal troublemakers to motivate us along the way. We got 3, and they are our whole lives.
Kate, our 14-year-old who thinks she is 18, is the smartest girl you will ever meet. No, this is not from a parent’s point of view; ask any of her teachers since preschool. The girl is a phenomenon. She is in 8th grade but goes to 9th grade for math classes (yes, you read that right, MATH). She reads A LOT OF books, she plays the violin, upright bass, and electric bass, she is in musical theater, she is in choir, dance choir, MDT, and more (I would need a whole page just for her if I were to mention everything that she excels at).
Joseph, our 12-year-old, is the most creative kid I have ever seen. He loves creating games. He draws the characters, names, rules, abilities, and so many things that it blows my mind. The boy has a lot in his brain, and we spend hours listening to him show us everything he creates.
After 2 children, one might think a third child would be easy because you did it twice, right? Well, wrong. Hyrum, our 9-year-old boy, is the definition of how we are all unique. He is totally different from Kate and Joseph. He didn’t speak until he was 5, and I knew he could if he wanted to. He just observed things around him. When he finally started speaking, he knew what he was saying—no baby talk or nonsense words. He is the sweetest boy you will ever meet. He has sympathy for others. He looks at me and says, “Mom, you are so beautiful” (I am not ugly, but SO BEAUTIFUL is a stretch). He kisses me and says, “Mom, I love you very much, but I know you love me more because I am your son.”
There are not enough pages for me to tell you all about my 3 precious treasures—the good and the bad too (laughing face). They are no saints, believe me.
Daniel and I married in Brazil and lived there for 4 years. I had my own business there, and we knew living there was the right thing at the time. In 2015, we felt it was time for us to move here. Daniel’s parents used to live here, so we moved here with 2 children, one suitcase, and 1,000 dollars (all the money we got from selling our things). Daniel immediately got a job as a web developer, and we started our life here.
I started and closed 3 different businesses before The Code Frame. I was born to be a business owner, but my heart was always in being a mother, so I closed them all. In 2021, I decided to get a bachelor’s degree because I never had the time or money to get one. I think education is very important, and I wanted to be an example to my children. I just graduated (August 2026). It wasn’t easy, but it was amazing. I had to stop getting new clients during the 5 years of college and basically freeze The Code Frame for a little while.
Now I am done with school, my children are all in school, and I AM BACK in action (hence the extremely long About Us page).
